Programs Offered

At Hidden Fox Farm, we’re not your average riding school. Our unique programs—often imitated, never duplicated—give every rider a clear path forward without forcing them into a one-size-fits-all mold.
With three riding tracks, four skill levels, beginner and pony pals programs, the Legacy Horse program, an IEA team, and even adult lessons, we have something for every rider. Read on to discover which path is right for you.
Pony Pals

Made just for our youngest riders ages 4–7, Pony Pals introduces children to ponies in a safe, hands-on way. Each class blends games, activities, and short rides to make learning fun and age-appropriate. Space is very limited and classes fill quickly—don’t wait to sign up!

Cost: $110 for the full 5-week course (60 minutes once a week)
The Ramblers
Designed for new and recreational riders of all ages. The Ramblers program introduces students to a variety of riding styles and foundational horsemanship skills. Lessons focus on the classical balanced seat with a European-inspired approach, giving riders a broad, well-rounded foundation. This program builds confidence, versatility, and a strong understanding of horses, preparing students for more specialized disciplines as they advance. Ramblers may participate in optional barn fun days, trail rides and in house horse shows as skills allow.

Cost: $296-$518 per semester (1 lesson per week) or $45/lesson if purchased individually.
The Fox Cubs
Perfect for riders who are ready for more focused training. The Fox Cubs program builds confidence, skill, and responsibility. Students continue exploring a variety of riding styles while receiving more advanced instruction. Farm shows at Hidden Fox Farm give riders the chance to test their skills against others- and themselves- pushing for growth in a supportive environment. Riders advance from The Ramblers when they are ready to take on this added responsibility by testing up.

Cost: $350 per month (2 lessons per week, March-March)

A perfect start for brand-new riders ages 8–16! In this 5-week course, students learn the fundamentals of grooming, tacking, safety, and riding at the walk and trot—all in a fun, encouraging environment. Classes are offered only at select times in the spring and fall, and space is limited to ensure every rider gets the attention they need. Don’t wait—when enrollment opens, spots go fast!

The First Flight
For experienced riders who have spent a minimum of one year on the Fox Cubs track and are ready to compete beyond the farm and outside of the arena. First Flight focuses on refinding technique, developing advanced skills, and preparing students for riding in more challenging and uncontrolled environments. They may choose to specialize in hunters, jumpers, dressage, or fox hunting.
Cost: $700-$850/month (2 lessons per week) Includes dry lot board for owned horse or Legacy Horse.
Riding Levels:
Within each track, students progress through four levels to develop confidence, control, and skill:
Level 1: Gaining control and confidence at walk and trot.
Level 2: Confidently trotting on a variety of horses and developing control at the canter.
Level 3: Cantering well on multiple horses, gaining confidence over cross rails.
Level 4: Jumping confidently, showing, and riding outside the ring over varied terrain and natural obstacles.

Achievement Cards:
Students earn achievement cards as they master each skill level. Cards mark milestones for grooming, tacking, and horsemanship skills. Once a student demonstrates mastery, they test to “level up” and earn their next card, giving them a tangible sense of accomplishment, added barn privileges, and clear goals to work toward.
